Auditions!
We hope you will join us for the 2023 Auditions for Need A Little Christmas!* We're looking for people ages 9-99 who can sing, dance, or both. Only Kickline is not required to sing.
There will be two sets of auditions. And one round of callbacks.
First - auditions for Kickline: Late Spring
Second - auditions for All Other Roles: Early Summer
Callbacks - Following auditions - TBD
Compensation:
Kickline and Holiday Headliners will receive a gas stipend as these roles require the most rehearsal time.
All other roles are volunteer.
Please read available roles below, fill out the audition form, and bring to auditions with a headshot and resume. Prepare a cut of a song, no longer than one minute, with sheet music for our accompanist (unless auditioning for Kickline). You may be asked to do a short, cold reading at audition.
Note: Headshots do not need to be professional shots, nor do they need to be the standard 8x10. A solid background with good lighting printed at home, Walgreens, or Costco works great. Resumes: No specific format, just a single sided page, uncluttered, and easy to read.

Kickline: Tapers. Singers and other dance experience, a plus. Commitment: Rehearsals begin September. Predominately meets once a week . Ensemble/Choral Singers: Need "just" singers. -Dickens Carolers -USO Military Singers -Santa figures from Around the World -Nativity Characters and Choir Commitment: Rehearsals begin October. Predominately meets once a week . |
Holiday Headliners: Strong singers and musical theatre dance experience. Warm/energetic stage presence. Commitment: Rehearsals begin October. Predominately meets twice a week . Santa and Mrs Clause: (Will also play in the Ensemble) Basic singing; Joyful and warm stage presence. Small amount of singing and movement. Commitment: Rehearsals begin October. Predominately meets once a week . |
Kids/Pre-Teens: Strong singers and movers. -Santa's Elves -Nativity Characters and Choir Commitment: Rehearsals begin October. Predominately meets once a week . |
